Hello Kinda New to this,
I am a real fan or King Quest, espicially king quest 5, my problem though is, i can't get the speech to work, music is find, but I can't listen to what being said. All i get is a speech box. any one else having this issue?

I am using the lastet dosbox and i am running vista 64 bit.
I downloaded and installed VDMsound also.

Really need some help, and will be greatly apperciated!!!!!

The talkie version has no dialog boxes. Period. If you don't know that you have the floppy version, you must have a zipped copy, right?

That's always been annoying with those old sierra adventures for lacking the option to have both voice and subtitles at the same time 🙁

hm.. would it be possible to make dosbox working this way:

that you opens two dosboxes, run the same game in them (differently configured), and mouse actions are transmited to both of them. You keep the window without subtitles in the background and look on the window with subtitles. The window with subtitles is muted.

Would it be possible?

Wouldn't work with this game. Things would get out of sync. The floppy version had copyright protection that had to be dealt with in the middle of the game and the CD did not.

Yes, i do have the zip version, not the cd version; I do however, used to have the cd version a long time back, that's how I knew that voice exist.
