I just got dosbox running on a debian machine only to find that the keyboard mapping is absolutely crazy. For instance, to run "keyb us" I had to type "x^[ctrl][alt][F7]añ".
Can anybody give me some ideas as to what could I be doing wrong?

Thanks.

Great job figuring that out 😀 If you look at the dosbox.conf file (~/.dosbox/dosbox-0.73.conf when using DOSBox 0.73), look for the section [sdl] and find the setting usescancodes. Try changing this from true to false or vice versa.

I did take quite some time to try every key. But now it's over. Setting usescancodes to false soved the problem. Don't really know how, because I have no idea what symkeys are, but I don't need to know. Thank you!
