I apologize in advance if there's an easy or obvious solution to this issue, but this seems like my last option. Up until today, I could run DOSBox just fine to play any game I asked it to run. Mine is a Windows Vista 32 bit system, running version 0.73 of DOSBox. and Now, however, I am unable to mount the C drive. Whenever I attempt to use the quotation marks ("") to name the directory I'm mounting to C, they don't function. Nothing happens when I use the key, but as you've seen, it works fine everywhere else.

So far, I've tried reinstalling, switching to an older version, reseting the configuration, and rebinding the key DOSBox. So far nothing has worked. I apologize in advance if I haven't given you enough information.

Is it just the "-key that is causing problems? All the other keys are okay?

Workarounds:

- add the mount comments to the AUTOEXEC section at the end of dosbox.conf so that they run automatically when you start DOSBox

- use short filenames (like c:\dosgam~1 instead of "c:\dos games" or rename the folder to c:\dosgames)

Come to think of it, there's also a problem with the shift key. I'm accustomed to using the right shift key, and it doesn't seem to work. I'll try the workaround methods mentioned here and see if those work.
