This may not be the place for this, but I figured if anyone would know, it would be the users here.

I have a handful of old DOS game CDs that are mixed audio/data. I have figured out how to write a cue sheet that points to an ISO image and a bunch of OGG audio files, and use IMGMOUNT to make it work just fine.

The problem is, some of these game CDs have 30+ tracks, and writing the cue sheet by hand is a laborious process. I have been searching for a utility that will do all of this for me, and wonder if one even exists. Is there a utility that will rip a CD into cue/iso/ogg format and write a proper cue sheet for me? I have found lots that do cue/bin, but DosBox doesn't seem to be compatible with .bin files.

Are there any suggestions on easier ways to rip my CDs than to do it all by hand?

imgmount the .cue sheet, not the .bin; it should work fine. Any utility that makes bin/cue pairs should work perfectly, like ultraiso.

Sure enough! I had been getting an error message at the command prompt that said:

Type "bin" is unsupported, try "hdd" or "floppy" or "iso"

I didn't realize that bin files were read the same as an iso

The one problem I still have with this method is that it does not allow for any type of compression. My 500MB bin image is rather large compared to the iso image combined with the ogg files, which only takes up 120 MB

I'm glad to know that cue/bin works, and I might just use that instead, but if anyone has suggestions for a quick and easy way to generate a cue/iso/ogg version, that would be even better.

EAC of course can rip your cd's with the highest quality, convert the wav/pcm to any format you wish, and create a cue sheet for the tracks.
