Hi guys,

I've been browsing through these forums for a few days now, trying to get Theme Hospital to work.

I eventually remembered how to mount drives in dos etc, and set my dos games folder to c:\users\myname\oldgames

I then installed the game to that dir.

I then tried running the game with the following comand:

c:\users\myname\oldgames\cd hospital (hospital being the file name on installation)

c:\HOsPITAL\hospital.exe

SUCCESS!!! It works! ....uhhhh problem, the screen size is too small, i want fullscreen! So I edit the config and set it to fullscreen.

Now, I go through the same process...YES it's fullscreen!!!....but wait?

"Theme Hospital requires the cdrom to play"

😕

And that my friends, is where I am! I have tried obtaining a No CD crack, and have applied the crack successfully through dos, but still the issue persists. I always mounted the cdrom to:

mount e e:\ -t cdrom

but I don't get anywhere.

Please guys, any help would really be appreciated! I really miss this game, and I will be the first to admit I'm no pro when it comes to DOS (and PC's in general!!!)

Thanks loads in advance!

start anew.
Read 60 seconds guide to getting your game to run in DOSBox and don't just read it, follow it.
Your problems come from mounting different stuff, installing not from within Dosbox and so on... If you follow the guide it should work fine.
Next time, please post in the Dosbox forum, not the Dos one.

Sorry for posting in wrong forum, just saw the "getting old games to run" description and thought this was the best place, will create threads in the dosbox one in future (mods feel free to move this to there)

I am following the guide to the "t" but I have become stuck. It tells me to:

Z:\>mount D "D:\" -t cdrom
MSCDEX installed.
Drive D is mounted as CDRom D:\

If your "DOSBox stuff\MyGame" folder is located on say your real F-drive, then do a mount C "F:\DOSBox stuff\MyGame".
If your real CD-ROM drive is E:, then do a mount D "E:\ -t cdrom".

Now my games file is located on C, so that works fine, but my cdrom/dvd is E, so when I add the line:

mount D "E:\ -t cdrom"

I get the message, "directory e:\ -t cdrom" doesn't exist

Any advice?
