Hi:
I'm a newbie at dosbox, but an experienced programmer and retired businessman.

I use a variety of 16-bit programs (none of them are games).

I am using a Win XP Pro (sp3) machine for my ongoing work, and wish to experiment with the *usage of batch files* with dosbox

I currently have dosbox called up from a batch file, *but* can I have it read in 'mount' commands from a script file for example as follows:

dosbox -conf \mydir\myconf.cnf @myscript.txt

Then I can place all extra commands needed in the script file.

Thank you,

Mel Smith

You can add your mounting commands, etc. to the autoexec section of the config file. See the readme for more information. BTW, you don't need to use a batch file to call DOSBox. A standard Windows shortcut to DOSBox with the -conf switch will work, too.

I'll confine my fiddling to a personalized config file for the time being.

Thank you for the response.
