I received this from my brother but I cant get it to install on my desktop. I downloaded D-Fend reloaded but I cant figure out how to if possible install or run the game from the disk. Im no dosbox expert by any means and barely computer literate. Im dying to play Bards tale 1 2 and 3 but my computer apparently is not. I have an old Dell Dimension 4500 desktop thats running windows Xp. ANy help would be appreciated.

Well I figured out what that problem was but am still having trouble with this install. think I really screwed the pooch up. If I assigned the wrong drives to dosbox will it always recognize them when I run it or can I just rerun and try again. Wasnt recognizing C drive either.

I think the problem may be in the fact that the cd has many games on it. The only executable file I could run was one called DOSSETUP. Which I ofcourse did. Which brought me to a screen, asked which game i wanted installed, I picked and then poof nothing. I see under the my cdrom dir that there are subfolders. Is there a way I can access them in DOS and try run and exe from the subfolder?

get dosbox from www.dosbox.com (and don't use d-fend or any other)

Thats what I did. I uninstalled the d-fend and went to dosbox.com directly.

i don't know what you mean but i think by following the guide i posted above you should be able to run these games easily.
