just found vdmsound98 on the website, what i want to know noe is would it be possible to make it work in real DOS? since i have that AC97 codec which doesnt work in dos

For those who don't understand Snover's response: what VDMSound does is intercept DOS programs' attempts to "talk" directly to the hardware and re-route that information so it is handled "legally" by the operating system.
Since DOS (the Disk Operating System) does not handle audio, that basically makes it impossible to run in DOS.
