Hey there,
I'm searching for a very old game I played many years ago, but I don't know the name.
I only remember something like "dr." in the game name.
You were a green/purple (don't remember) lump which looked a bit like slime.
Was a sidescrolling arcade/action game. Jump'n'Run style.
I hope my request can be fullfilled, even with this less on information

Smartball? Not a DOS game, but it's one of the only slime platformers I know of.

The Dr. reminds me of "In Search of Dr. Riptide", but there you play guy in a purple suit in a submarine. The green or purple lump reminds me of "Nebulus". Not slime, though, nor does it have "Dr." in the title. And then there's "Skweek", but that doesn't match the title and you're not example green or purple nor is it exactly a jump and run game. Still, I somehow thought of Skweek 😁

"dr." must be a red herring, as i found no DOS games on mobygames.com with dr. or doctor in the title that remotely fit the OP's description.
