I don't understand the "use a sequence of -c commands". I never used that command in true MSDOS that I can rember. That I am use to.

If you write it out as commands for a batch file, or in the [autoexec] section of dosbox.conf, it looks something like:

1mount c c:\dosbox
2mount e e:\games\dos-games
3e:
4cd bstone
5bstone.exe powerball

Converting that to -c parameters on the DOSBox command line:

1c:\dosbox\dosbox.exe -c "mount c c:\dosbox" -c "mount e e:\games\dos-games" -c "e:" -c "cd bstone" -c "bstone.exe powerball"

Converting the original bat file I wrote to -c parameters did the trick. The game is now worrking 100% starting it from the desktop with the new modified bat file. Thanks.

I need to know the command to turn up the cpu speed. When I was starting the game manually the default cpu speed that Dosbox starts at is 3500 cps. To run Blake Stone right I need to run the cpu speed up to 9000 cps on my sys.

-c "cycles 9000"

The cmd line that you gave me to make the cpu speed up in the bat file isn't working. Here is the bat file as it sit's now.

The load cmd line works great. All I need on the cpu speed is 900 to 10000 cps. From the manual load speed test I did. As you can see from the cpu speed line in the bat file I ran the speed up to 20500 cps and the game was still running slower then a snall. I did a direct copy and past of the (-c "cycles 9000") line that you posted into the bat file before the line that execut's the game start. So why is the speed cmd not working?

You need to add it as another parameter, but somewhere before running the executable (bstone.exe)

You sead "You need to add it as another parameter, but somewhere before running the executable (bstone.exe)". Add it as an other parameter, as in how? I past the line in (-c "cycles 9000") just as you typed it.

I got it figured out now. I had to take a closer look at the line that you typed. (c:\dosbox\dosbox.exe -c "cycles 9000" -c "mount c c:\dosbox" -c "mount e e:\games\dos-games" -c "e:" -c "cd bstone" -c "bstone.exe powerball"). My brain is a bit foggy from the pain med's I am on for a chiped bone and a pinched nerve in my left sholder. Without the tylenol 3 I can't even move my sholder to even play the game.

i think it is way more convenient to use
dosbox -conf dosbox.conf
and have all your settings in dosbox.conf
