When dos box loses focus cpu goes from 10% to basically 0-1% 😒 Even setting priority to highest,highest makes no difference. Idle shows 90% when dosbox running and about 99 when focus is lost.

Setting cycles=max core=dynamic 😁 makes no diff 😠 I am not running any games just protected mode command line programs which should go flat out and only be io bound but I can't see io holding it to 10% but that wouldn't explain the virtual catatonic state it goes into when focus is lost 😕 But there again maybe it would.

These programs basically read computate and then write data so they are heavily io bound. I understand the main motivation for dosbox is to play games 😐 so disk io may not have been a priority for optimization 😊
