😵

I'm having trouble with setting up my logitech dual action game pad in dos box.

It does work in dos box, HOWEVER when a game requires the control to be set up before you play it eg: "center the joystick and press button one, move to the upper left corner and press button one ect. ect."
-The character in the game will move around in circles by itself. It doesn't matter how you move the controls, it will always result in the same thing, even if you just press enter and skip the setup.

This happens particularly in Duke nukem 3D, doom 1 & 2, Jazz jack rabbit and a few other games. I would really like to try and configure my gamepad to work, mostly for Duke nukem 3D.

I'm currently running DOSBox v0.73 on a intel macbook with snow leopard installed. The gamepad is as I said before; a logitech dual action gamepad with analog controls. It does register on the mac and it does otherwise work in dosbox, it is just a few titles that require the controls to be configured and it never works properly.

Can anyone help me out please or at least shed some light on the situation?

AH! Okay I have changed the "joysticktype=auto timed" to "=false" and now the controls work fine on the d-pad part. I'm guessing dosbox doesn't recognise analoge sticks, even if you try and pass them off as a "joystick" 😜

SUCCESS! Okay I've fixed it and I even have the analoge stick control working. I just had to fix what I said above and toggle the mode button on the control. I had the mode button on, thinking it was like a playstation controller and by having the button pressed on that the analoge sticks would work. It's the exact opposite >.<

Thank you very much for the help Qbix 😁
