I recently got DoxBOX .74 and bought One Unit Whole Blood from GOG.com. I am having a lot of frame rate trouble with this game, sometimes getting down to 3 frames per second. I am running a Duo Core processor and a GeForce 6800 Ultra card. Can I increase the fps or did I waste 6 bucks?

Try pressing ctrl+F12 to increase your cycles. 😎

I've already tried that. Never worked.

Geforce = Palette slowdown = output is surface.

Edit the dosbox config file it uses, change output to something that isn't surface, like opengl or ddraw.

Also, use video modes like 640x400 or 320x200, don't go full on 1280x1024 and the like

I have no idea which one it is. It says I have 2 processors, both 3.4GHz. I have tried tons of different DosBOX tweaks and configurations. I have heard the GeForce 6800 Ultra should be able to play this no problem. And yet, myself and lots of other people on GOG.com have the same problem with this game.

what is your dosbox version and where have you got it from?
what is your Operating System?
what are your PC specifications?
post content of "DOSBox Status Window" (in Windows: right click on its title bar -> edit)
enclose your dosbox's config file

what resolution do you use in blood?

Try setting fulldouble to true, output to opengl, core to dynamic, cputype to pentium_slow and cycles to max. This should make it run smoothly at 1280x1024.
