I'm looking for a (working) Live Drive front panel for my Sound Blaster Live Platinum card

Anyone have a spare one for sale? 😀

hmm, I can't promise you, but I might have one in the attic. Please fell free to pm me in a week or so that I don't forget to look up there. Currently it's far too hot though to go up there 😀

Just to clarify, Amigaz is apparently looking for the Live! Platinum 5.1 Drive which shipped with SB0060 cards in later Platinum packages. This is different from the Sound Blaster Live! Platinum (4.1) Drives that shipped with SB4760 cards in the older Platinum packages.

The SB Live is a CT4760

I bought this Sb Live Platinum package back in late 2000 or early 2001 but can't remember how the front panel looked like (it was removed by my cousin when my aunt bought this PC from me)

I recently got a Live Drive from Sailent here on the forum which looked like this:

But I managed to fry it with a live molex connector that made contact with a circuit on the board inside the Live Drive "DOOOH!!!" 😵

If I'm not mistaken, any version of the Live! Drive will work. You can even use any of the Audigy's "Drive" with the Live! Card.

Yeah, the connector/cable is the same

But I'm looking for the Live Drive so I can pursuit my quest of restoring the PC to he specs it had when it was mine...it's actually my first PC we're talking about here 😀

This is what the original Live! Drive from the SB4760P package looked like. Your photos above are from the SB0060P package.

IIRC mine had a remote control and the panel had the IR sensor "eye"

I didn't even notice that the IR sensor was missing in the second photo you posted until I read your last post. My SB0060P Platinum Live! Drive matches your first photo, and it did ship with the IR remote. Both of my Platinum kits are retail North American packages.

It would be interesting to know what package the Live! Drive in the second photo comes from and where it was distributed.

Good luck in finding a replacement.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but today was the first not-hot day. I searched the attic and found all kinds of computer relics but not that live drive. Probably a victim of moving too many times or I built it into some PC I gave away...
