think this is the right place to post this,

Anyway at home we have a 486DX2 66Mhz with a Roland MPU-IPC-T.
It is used for MusicPrinter Plus which uses the MIDI card to either play back to a keyboard or allows you to play in from the keyboard into the program.

However for some reason the input no longer works, the card looks fine and so does the box, I know most people seem to use this stuff for MIDI out but maybe someone has an idea for MIDI in.

Did you check the cable(s)?

cables are fine they both work for MIDI out, and all 5 pins were fine when I checked them with a multimeter

Perhaps there is an IRQ conflict with another device? After all, it's needed for MIDI In, but AFAIK not necessarily for MIDI Out. Or perhaps you need to specify an IRQ for the MPU in that program, but the card itself is actually using a different IRQ? I can't really think of anything else I'm afraid. 😒
