I dug up my old Redguard CDs and tried to run them on my dell yps m1530 WIN7 laptop and the only way to do that in 3Dfx I found was with glidos.

BUT, pretty much everything works except for the music, which is kind of important to (listened to it when I couldnt play, find it really great).

I tried this: redguard soundtrack

but since I have to use vdos, i cant use the .bat file. Is there any way to get the music working?

Thank you in advance

It may be worth trying running Glidos in DOSBox mode, after downloading the special version of DOXBox from the Glidos download page.

Tried that and beside tha fact that it is horribly slow, I only get to the loading screen where is says - loading maps, then loading sounds where is crashes

Yeah, dosbox will be slower than VDos32: it emlates all instructions, where VDos32 emulates only what cannot be exectuted driectly. Shouldn't crash though. you might want to try running Redguard's sound setup from DOSBox.

The only alternative is for me to enhance VDos32's Redbook support. Something I'd like to do, but not sure when I'll get a chance.
