I need room and I don't need this board. It is a working intact board, all caps look good. 1x ISA. It comes with an Athlon 1400, who's multi responds to the jumpers on the mobo. A cooler can be provided, and perhaps some RAM as well.

As far as I know, there is nothing wrong with this board (ignoring the unholy KT133). I had it running trouble free with a Voodoo5 for a while.

Why do I give it away? I need flexible handling of CPU speed, and jumpers to me aren't flexible enough.

So if anyone needs more trash, its yours for postage. It currently resides in germany. Consider dropping the cooler if you don't live there too.

merry xmas

If no one shows mercy, it will be heading for the dump. Seriously, I'll do it!

Do you know how much will it cost shipping to Argentina from Germany ?
It's a nice mobo, with AGP 4X, the ISA slot, and from what I researched, the KT133A instead of the buggy KT133.

If I strip the cooler, plain uninsured postage would likely be 14 Euros. Please consider additional fees like exchange or such. Using Paypal, it might cost 16 Euros on your end.

The cooler may even fit in, but I would have to keep it mounted. And those parcels do get thrown about.

I will give absolutely no guarantee on the board though. I can plug in a vid card and take a picture of it running, but if it fails on your end, thats tough shit. I don't want to end up paying the postage to argentina myself.

Everyone else: Sit tight and wait. Parcel will be 9 bucks to the "lowlands" by the way. Unless you are willing to gamble with a "letter".

I trust your word. It's obvious that if it arrives here not working, it's because something happened in the trip... not because you're lying. And no one said you're going to pay anything.

Whatener, I give up on this item.

I think it's nothing but fair you don't want to end up giving someone something and having to pay yourself. But I assume you can at least test the board to see if it boots or not?

😀

I just hooked it up and sure enough, it booted. I even took a picture. I couldn't be bothered to find the HDD that still had a win98 installation for it. But it worked and OCed to about 140 or so.

Did I miss something here ? when he was talking with me, who said he had to pay something ??? I was the one interested in the board, it's obvious I'M the one who's gonna pay for it, not him. And as I said, if the board reached here not working, I was not gonna blame him, and I was not going to charge him anything. It's obvious I was the one interested in the item, so all charges are on my account. And if the board was not working, that was on my account too, so, what's that all about ux-3 paying anything ???

The only problem could arise when someone pays using Paypal. While I consider it a practical service, Paypal can spell trouble if the buyer files a claim. And lets not fool ourselves, these boards are brittle. My new KT133A arrived in prestine condition and during the first power up (with a disposable duron on a suicide mission), three caps blew off. Most amazing, the board still posted and worked. I have exchanged those caps, but I keep my fingers crossed whenever I power up one of those things.

(And I have plenty of caps as spares...)

Look folks, I am glad to give it to someone who likes to have it. No need to get out of the christmas spirit here. I just don't want someone to file a complaint with paypal because it doesn't post upon arrival.

But do I understand it correctly, the board does not emigrate to argentina?

True, but looking from my perspective, how can I trust I'll receive a package -after- I paid?

It's a matter of trust, if the board will not go to Argentina, it'll go to the lowlands.
I did it once with swaaye and he proved he could be trusted and I proved to him I could be trusted by not reclaiming the money I wired to him by Paypal.
I saw one other person here selling items and it appears he ran with the money (Dire Straits 🤣 ).

Can you give me a good reason to trust lunatics, who pile old computer equipment in their attics, after they ship it around the globe? Well? Any? See! 😉

Anyway, since Argentina passes up, my neighbour comes next. Should he falter, greece will be next in line...

I guess you have plenty of socket A coolers, so there should not be any need to take a risk?
Do you want to gamble on a letter (6 Euros) or shall I pack it in a box as parcel (9Euros)? Or -for paranoias sake- insured delivery?
PayPal?

Merry Christmas to all the freaks here!

Yes, Paypal would be easiest 😉
And I do prefer insured package, but that's mostly because I don't trust the mailmen 😜
Send it as a box please.
Unless the cooler has a copper base or has 3 socket clamp holes instead of 1, I wouldn't really need the cooler.

If you have any memory, VGA cards etc to spare, you could send them along also, but it's not really needed.

I think it's time I got a pm with your Paypal and total shipping costs
