I am new to this conference. So who and why is it that says it will never happen.

Dude, if I learned how to code in C or whatever language DosBox is coded in, I'd probably whip up a build with share.exe support in a HEARTBEAT, but unfortunately, I don't know jack shit about programming, so I can't help you there. The only advice I can offer is to create a harddisk image with MSDOS or FreeDOS installed on it along with your apps (google how to do it), then mount it in DosBox and use that to run whatever apps you have that require share.exe (if you need to know how to do that, read the DosBox manual). Keep in mind though that if you're running a different operating system within DosBox, that DosBox's special commands (like MOUNT, IMGMOUNT, etc.) won't be accessible.

DosBox is for games.
If you will find 10-20 games with share.exe as requirement - only then the support will be discussed.

Asus P4P800 SE/Pentium4 3.2E/2 Gb DDR400B,
Radeon HD3850 Agp (Sapphire), Catalyst 14.4 (XpProSp3).
Voodoo2 12 MB SLI, Win2k drivers 1.02.00 (XpProSp3).

Strong contender for a good placement in my private "10 most stupid statements on VOGONS" list.

To be frank, I think quite a few posts were closed "prematurely" recently. Can't see any harm in discussing certain matters. Take a hypothetical example: if a user would ask for real Voodoo (3DFX) emulation in DOSBox, someone could close the thread with a "won't happen" remark. That remark may be true from that person's point of view, but from the point of view of other people it may be not.
