I have recently proven myself as a competent overclocker when I succesfully clocked a 570MHz K6-2+ CPU at a mind blowing 556 MHZ!
I'm just trying to get it to stock speeds, and I'm following the instructions in the book and online as much as I can.
System so far is: FIC 503+ motherboard with BIOS v. JE4333
ACZ K6-2e+ CPU 570 MHz
128MB x2 PC133 RAM
I have the bus set at 95x6 right now.
Has anyone had any problems running these CPUs at their stock settings?
Btw, yes, the system does operate at the 556mhz, but I perfer it at it's intended speed.
EDIT: I set it to 112x5.5 and pushed the voltage to 2.1 from 2.0 and it's yielding 622mhz... so confused. 😖
Still, any suggestions on how to get this to work correctly will be greatly appreciated.

The BIOS display may be wrong, after all this is quite an oddball CPU. Check with a software utility (wcpuid, chkcpu).

To be honest, I wouldn't bother with stock speed and just jumper it to 6x100. 😉

Thankyou for the info.
I launched wcpuid and it clocks it at 615.63 with current settings,... seems stable so far so I'll leave it for now. Just gotta find a way to check cpu temps to make sure it's not overheating (touched the heatsink and it feels like it's lower than ambient temperatures). I guess you're right about it being an oddball CPU 😀 .
Btw, I ran cpumark 99 and it benched it at 57.5. I'm so proud of my lil' system.
