Mission Critical Choppy Sound

The intro movie sound is choppy and I have recently installed the latest version of VDM, and it made things a bit better but the sound is still choppy. Any suggestions?

My system specs are:
AMD Athlon XP 1400+
512 DDR RAM
64 MB DDR Nvidia Geforce 3
Soundblaster Audigy
Windows XP
100GB Harddrive

Try reducing DMA polling periods, and try reducing DOS CPU usage time. They're both available on the Advanced tab for the VDMSound Launchpad IIRC.

I have reduced it to the lowest it could go for both things, no improvement any other suggestions?
