Using the latest MinGW, MSys 1.0.9 and the Development toolkit (autoconf), I succeeded in compiling the sources from cvs.
One problem i had is that, when I try to run the program using the SDL.dll (1.2.6) I built myself, it crashes. If I use the 1.2.6 SDL.dll from libsdl.org, it works fine but takes a long time to launch dosbox.
Could anybody help me with this ?

Ok, ok , don't bother anymore, I forgot to install the DirectX development libraries for MinGW , so my own SDL.dll didn't work correctly,
now it works fine,
