Recently I've been trying to install and play Judgment Rites again. I had a problem trying to install from a cd drive because installer seemed to want to install to the cd drive. Anyways, I dragged the info from the cd to a folder in c drive at c:\judgment and installed and it seemed to work fine through dosbox when I installed, I even was able to play the game while still in that dosbox instance that I installed in.. now, the problem is when I closed dos box and tried to play again it wouldn't work. I checked the folder in C and none of the info saved from the install. I even created a folder for it manually to see if it would save in the next install, installing to c:\stjr but still no information was saved after install.

I've done dos box a bit in the past and never ran into this problem.
