Is there anything I need to add to the shortcut so the game will run without asking for the CD ROM? If I go through DOSBOX it's no problem, but when I try to put in the shortcut, there is a screen saying I must have the CD

Here's what I have in the shortcut target "C:\Program Files (x86)\DOSBox-0.74\DOSBox.exe" -userconf"C:\DOSGAMES\newwar\WAR2.exe"

Well, you could read the readme where all this is explained and is the recommended method, you could also make a .conf file for the game or you try dosbox.exe -c "mount <whateverdrivethegamexpects> <yourcd> -t cdrom" "C:\DOSGAMES\newwar\WAR2.exe" -userconf
