It will be interesting to see what becomes of Apple now. It will also be interesting to see where the rest of the computer and consumer electronics industry goes with one less person correcting inventor's mistakes to make the product into something people would like to buy.

Very sad news... Wonder how apple will fare in the long run without Steve Jobs to drive it.

WHAT? So sudden and unexpected.....feel sad even though I was never a fan of Apple. My sincere condolences and may he rest in peace.

There were many who were emotional when he left his job. Now, it must be a big blow to them.

Actually, it is not so unexpected as he had been ill for some times now and it is the reason he quit his position as CEO. Pancreatic cancer is a killer, even if you somehow get rid of it, it ruined your pancreas, and your health with it. One of my friend died at very young age from consequence of pancreatic cancer.
There was no official description of Jobs health issues. But lasts public pictures of him spoke for themselves.

At least it can be said about Steve Jobs that he did quite a bit in his 56 years alive.

Love him or hate him he certainly left his mark on the world. And I wouldn't wish pancreatic cancer on anyone, horrible disease.

If you are squeamish, don't prod the beach rubble.

Yes, the pancreatic cancer pain is very excruciating.

Bloody cancers destroying so many lives, young and old, friends and families.

Yeah, I have a lost a family member (my mothers brother), another person whom was an awesome woman I met over skype, both of those people died of lung cancer, the last one whom I lost to cancer, was a woman who I loved deeply, she died of an aggressive form of ovarian cancer.

It is already bad enough when we hear others whom we do not know die helplessly, but it must have been terrible for you, especially the person who died is whom you truly loved deeply, including your family member 😢

Weirdly enough, I found out(both times) that they had died , the day after my birthday. My uncle died on my birthday this year, the woman that I loved. Well I found out she had died on the day after my birthday, but she had been gone for months before that (years ago). I still think of her every now and then, cause she even to this day has a place in my heart.

Anyway it looks like WBC will try to picket at his funeral, I fucking hope a BIG anti demonstration will keep the WBC idiots away.

he was just a marketing guy. Apple computer was completely designed and created by a polish guy Wozniak. I wonder what would happen to dosbox if it had such a Jobs in the team 😉

Can't say I didn't expect it but he was certainly a very influential man. All the best to his family and friends.

I will never be an advocate for Apple products, but he was truly a brilliant and innovative person. Without him I don't think Apple would be as big as they are today.
