Hello,

I'm planning on upgrading my on-board RealTek to a Asus Xonar DX sound card but first, I just wanted to be sure it's compatible with DosBox and be able to play General Midi music as well as digital sound and speech from older games supported.

Also, I have a Roland MT-32 I'll be hooking up to the Analog line level audio input of the card. It seemed to work fine with the Realtek, can I assume it'll work with the new card as well?

It should work fine. Dosbox is not picky about the sound solution, as long as music can be played back audibly everything should be fine
