DECEMBER 30th, 2011 - After more than five years of working on the game, bit by bit in their spare time, the team at INFAMOUS ADVENTURES (www.infamous-adventures.com) has released their remake of the 1987 classic, "SPACE QUEST II: Vohaul's Revenge". Originally written and programmed by Scott Murphy and Mark Crowe and released by Sierra On-Line, the game features the hapless hero, janitor Roger Wilco in a rollicking adventure that takes him through space!

Remade in a classic retro "VGA" style, like Sierra's later point and click adventures from the early 1990's, Space Quest II Remake provides hand-drawn backgrounds, hand animated characters, a full voice pack featuring over 4,000 recorded lines and a whole lot of extras and fun. A labor of love and devotion to the original series, the team at Infamous Adventures is proud to be able to release this to the fans, both young and old. Visit www.infamous-adventures for more details.

So what are you waiting for?

Wow. I'm hugely impressed!

I don't like the voice acting, sorry, but the rest of the game is SPOT ON! Love it!

Yep. The voice acting leaves much to be desired. Usually I don't mind turning on voices in most adventure games, but I seem to be playing this remake with only the text on.

Also, there are some new additions in the commentator's words, which takes away the realism and coherence of the original. Maybe I was too attached to the original version.

Otherwise, the graphics and music are really good that they almost took me back in time to the early 90's when Sierra was churning out VGA adventures after adventures! An excellent update (for me, minus the voice-overs and new dialogues).

We had very few actors. One guy did most of the voices, actually. The voice pack isn't ever going to be something really professionally well done in a fan game. Ever. But for people who like them, it's there. I prefer text as well in this case. But I'm glad you're enjoying it. 😀
