The only odd looking thing about this card, that I can see anyway, is that one of its oscillators looks "raised" from the surface of the PCB. Could this be a problem? I was browsing ebay and spotted it, and then it disappeared from that website. I emailed the seller, and asked him why the item was no longer for sale, and he said that he thought there might be a problem with it, and so withdrew the listing.

It looks that way because this oscillator is socketed, the others are not.

Ah thanks. BTW, the seller says that the card doesn't have any visual defects, but he says that he tested it in a computer, and the screen remained blank.

The cards probably dead then. Ignore and continue.

Well all the dips are switched to one setting. This might be why the seller had no image.

you could tell the seller it may be the dips or buy it "dead" and give it a go your self
