Hey there, I have a Thinkpad 380XD that I've had for a while but just recently grabbed out of storage, and wanted to fix it up. Now, while searching for drivers for the machine, I noticed the machine has a full set of OS/2 drivers available for download, which made me interested in trying it.

So, my question is, is it possible to Dual Boot Win98se and IBM OS/2 Warp? I've never played with OS/2 Warp so I'm not really sure what I'd be looking at, however curiousity did shorten the felines lifespan.

I got the Dual Boot side of things to work. I'll write out what I did here for future reference.

Basically it was done by fanagling the OS/2 Setup utility's FDISK program. Needed to configure a boot manager partition (3mb, created by using the "Install Boot Manager" option) at the start of the drive, then create 2 separate partitions for OS/2 and Windows. Then continued installing OS/2 Warp 4 to a HPFS partition and installed Win98 to the remaining partition. Then after both OSs were installed, Reran the OS/2 setup to get to the IBM FDISK screen, then reinstalled the IBM Boot Manager and added both partitions to the boot table.

This worked, however now my issue is file sharing between the OS's. Win98 can't read HPFS (which I expected), but OS/2 can't read the Win98 partition, which I thought I formatted in FAT16, but that might not be the case... hmm...
