Hi I got my voodoo 2 card in turns out to be a 12MB Diamond Monster 3D II Voodoo2 card! I did a quick search for drivers here and found what I needed but the both links are down.

Dead links here:

Anyone out there have "Diamond Monster 3D II Voodoo2 Installation CD"

Sadly, thanks to the MegaUpload fiasco, all the links in that thread are now dead.

Some of them have been uploaded to our very own Driver Library, but I don't think that particular driver has been re-uploaded yet.

I'll see if one of the chaps will upload that driver to the library for ya.

Unless you really need Diamonds drivers you can get reference drivers at falconfly.de

Falconfly.de is a great place for 3DFX drivers of all types (Originals for all cards on Win9x/2000, 3rd party drivers for WinXP and later), and I can vouch for them for the Diamond Monster 3D II 12mb, as I have one myself that works perfectly with the drivers from that page.

Or you can go to http://www.dmmdownload.com/legacy.php and download the "DIAMOND MONSTER FUSION 3D2 DRIVER" file from the "Video Cards" tab...

I don't have the cable yet to make it work so I don't mind waiting a few days for someone to upload the real driver CD. I would really prefer to have the CD image. Thanks to everyone for your leads and input.

I thought the drivers from 3dfxzone.it were the way to go. Are they not superior to the ones originally included with the card?

You don't really need the cable, if you don't mind reaching behind your computer and switching your VGA cable over to the other card.

I can't get anything to work that way! I get lockups and blank screens.

Then you'll get lockups and blank screens once you get the cable, too – it will make no difference.

You are probably experiencing some kind of driver problem. What drivers are you using now, anyway?

Got the cable and hooked it up everything is working 100%. It appears at least from experience you have to have the pass cable. Did not change any drivers!

The Voodoo 2 works super with this Celeron everything is smooth as butter and fast! Unreal & Half Life!

Are we talking about the same cable here? A standard external VGA cable?
