Does somebody knows whats the default coin type for a RTC battery coin holder.. I put in a CR2032, but the coin holder looks bigger.. So i think i need a bigger battery for it.. Are there bigger coin cell batterys then CR2032?

Should it be a reloaded battery? Doesnt know if the ISA card actually reloads the battery.

CR2032 is THE typical coin battery for RTC, i have some very old 386 from Toshiba which sued some huge rechargable battery, but for coin batteries i never came across another type.

What type of card do you have? I used to have an AST six pak plus card on my xt for a real time clock. When I got it it had a larger battery than a 2032. I remember that it worked fine using a 2032 even if it was smaller. Then I purchased the correct type. Recently I sold my xt board with the AST card. But I found the manual I had downloaded back then, and I believe the battery type is 2325.

It really shouldn't matter if the battery fits tightly in the holder just as long as the +/- terminals are in contact with the battery. In case anyone is interested, I got a nice deal on a bulk lot of 2032 coin cells from this seller

A pack of 100 was just over $11.00 shipped from HK.

I just did some research on these coin type batteries, and it seems that their type number is the battery's dimensions. So for a 2032 it's 20mm diameter and 32mm height. Then it shouldn't be that hard to measure the type for a missing battery.

edit : wrong, it's 20mm diameter and 3.2mm height .

I measure about 22cm in diameters.

$10.60 with our strong Aussie dollar! 😁

Thanks for the link though, that's fantastic value. I've got dozens of gadgets that use these suckers (Dreamcast VMU, Sony PocketStation, however many PCs...). So uh yeah, awesome, thanks again! 😀
