I have an old Official MS Win Update CD (Feb 2004) that contains Updates for Win98/Win98SE/WinME/Win2kPro/WinXP.

Any interest in an ISO of it?

Used to use it with XP back in the day. I have never seen a ISO put on the net for one of these discs.

I remember that disc! I used to use it in shop back then. That would be handy to have an image of for all the updates to Win98/ME and 2K.

Well I upped it at Demonoid. Not exactly a public tracker till someone gets a better idea for upping the file.

Downloading it now at good speed. I'll seed it for a while so others can download it too. Thanks.

I wonder if there are newer ones of these discs... ones made in late 2006, to cover the last of the 98 SE updates

Thats a interesting question. Going over google its hard to find a trace about these update cds but the last on I can find mentioned was March 2004, probably went on a bit longer than that.

Does anyone know how many core updates happened between 2004 and 2006 as 98SE went EOL? I'm sure more updates were for the extras like IE/WMP/.NET and such.

Also I found a page about ISO for security updates at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913086 but even going back to the first one only mentions 2k / XP / 2k3 updates.

That pages makes me wonder if the CD I have only include a few updates and not all previous releaseed ones.

EDIT: Further research says its all previous updates included on cd till oct 2003 😮 What a weird cut-off point for updates. I'm still thinking Gapes SP2.1a is a better route if using Win98SE atleast. This is probably helpful for others with Win98FE and WinME.

I have one of those too. I was debating whether to put it up on eBay. (After all, it says "Not For Resale" on it.)

Indeed, folks have picked it apart and there is little reason I can see why not to go with one of the unofficial Service Packs when it comes to Win9x.

Is there something you need specifically? AutoPatcher is quite splendid if you want to download all the available MS updates to one convenient location.

I managed to get a copy of a Win98 SE "Updates" disc... it's really just an updated install disc... file dates show April 99

I don't think that's what I'm looking for. This CD that I'm looking for dates Feb. 2004.

The CD in question is pictured in Mr. RogueTrip2012's post above.

I'm still confused. There is nothing on this CD that is particularly unique or noteworthy from any historical perspective.

What I don't understand is why you want to know why I want the CD so badly. Why does that matter? Can't you just give me the image file?

Well, since no one seems to be coming up with it at the moment, I thought I (or someone else) might at least be able offer whatever it is you hope to get from having the image of this CD. But if for some very odd reason only the image itself will do, I guess I'll just leave this thread to stagnate.
