I love the aforementioned game, and I am using DosBox to play it, but I am having a problem saving the game. There is a directory mismatch error.

I have run the set up and tried to change the directory, but when saving the game the directory for the save file is not the same as the directory I provided.

I also tried to set up the directory that the save function tells me that it is trying to save at, and that has not worked either.

Thank you for any help possible.

Using DOSBox 0.74 with default settings, changing the save directory with SETUP.EXE works for me.

Run the setup program, highlight the save directory, type the new save directory, press ESC, highlight the "save and quit" option and press enter. After running the setup, do a DIR command in the game directory and you should see the current date and time stamped on the RFTS.INI file, showing it was written.

If you don't see a current date and time stamp on the INI file, it may mean you don't have write access. Make sure that RFTS.INI is not marked as read only, and also ensure that you have the game installed somewhere where DOSBox has write access.
