I have installed the drivers.. And testing the card with PAKU..

When i do PAKU /ADLIB it wont work. So i think the adlib is dead..

When i do PAKU the pc-speaker is making sound

When i do PAKU / CMS i have got sound (dont know this is real CMS..)

Iam also tested The challenge winter games..

I can use SB 2.0 FX sounds.. But cant detecting my music (also installed the SBFMDRV.COM) but nothing works..

If i set the setting both the adlib, nothing happens...

Is it true the YAMAHA OPL 2 could be dead??

I think the VOGONS driver library has a download that has an Adlib test program.

And I thought SBFMDRV was only used by playcmf?

I tried TEST-SBC.COM or EXE and got FX and music..
When iam tried the diagnostic.exe it could detect my soundcard settings and freezes..

~ At least it can do black and white~

Try changing the IRQ and/or I/O port?

I cant change the IRQ in my soundcard..

IRQ3 is used by my ATI BUS mouse
IRQ4 is used by com 1
IRQ5 is used by HDD SCSI host controller
IRQ7 is used by LPT1 port..

So i dont have IRQs left.. 2 is the only one thats free..

As long as you don't print at the same time, IRQ7 is fine!

It's the "best" IRQ to use, especially for the old games.

Depending on the machine you can also disable LPT1 in the BIOS or through a jumper (like on my 486 machine).

I think setting it to IRQ7 might fix your issues.

PS: You might have seen the POST screen on my 486. LPT1 and Sound Blaster on IRQ7.

The problem here is, i want just have my LTP1 port open..

I think i only could set it to IRQ5 (wheres the SCSI host is on, and IRQ7 that was free)

I think the soundcard has to work on every setting.. If not there something wrong with it..

tonight i will try port 240..

Don't change the base port - virtually every game expects the SB to be at 0x220. Change the IRQ to 7 and it will be fine - unless you want to print at the same time as you're playing a game!
