Hello, I would like to request the ability to modify the color palettes of old video modes. CGA, PCjr, EGA, etc...

My decision for this is because I used MESS to play Castle Wolfenstein in CGA mode and the CGA colors in MESS look more like my old PC. The red and yellow really scream at you, but DOSBox, as far as I know, has no option to modify these colors.

PS Perhaps it would be easier to allow the modification of dosbox's colors altogether, rather than individual modes? This would be good too.

Make sure you're using the machine=cga setting in DOSBox for correct colors in CGA games.

Yes, I have the mode set correctly. I have all the correct colors in place... I would just like the option to crank up certain colors to make them look better, or better in my opinion. An RGB tube monitor can REALLY flood the colors out there, and I notice MESS does an equally fine job of over-dosing these colors... I love the feeling of blazing colors!

The red and yellow have a paticularly warm feeling about them when you stare closely at the screen... When graphics are at a minimum, sometimes you need all you can get out of what you have. 😊
