im trying to run warcraft 1 using dosbox on my windows vista. i downloaded the file which says all i need to do is open the foler and click "war.exe" dosbox opens and says "illegal command". how do i get this game to work

In other words go buy the game. abandonware not supported here. Or you can ask from the site where you downloaded it from.
