Hello there, I have a small problem with my Doom 2 game. This bug seems to happen at random but more likely when you save your game more than 2 time in a minute.

It happen in any map too. Once, it happened while I was in map 02 , after I saved my game, the music stop and it look like the game has just froze. I can't take any action.

The good thing is that the game managed to save my progress just before crashing, so when I reload doom2 I can continue exactly where I was before the freeze.

The game do not freeze if I load my game multiple time thought.

Ive beat the entire game and my game has froze about 4 time because of saving

EDIT: I own the floppy version of doom 2

Its not a huge bug, doom 2 is still playable to the end, but I just wonder if it happened to other people?

Which version of Doom 2? I believe v1.9 is the last.

When these hangs (freezes) occur, does a message appear in the Status Window?

Its doom 2 1.9v and nothing happen on the dosbox window. I tried to save like a madman and the game has froze but I decided to wait about 30 second before closing dosbox and the game has unfroze. I personnaly think this has to do with the external drive the folder is in, so ill try on C:\doom2 if the same thing happen

I already know that, It was just a matter of saying that ill try it on my computer hard drive itself instead of a external drive. Looks like the bug cannot be reproduced, so I guess its a problem (albeit very minor) with my external drive (but every other game including windows game do not have problem with save but that one)
