So I'm attempting to play Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal with DOSBox version 0.74. I can get to the main menu and hear the music and click on things (If I press enter a whole bunch, I even manage to start the game and can blindly move units around) but I have no idea what I'm doing because this is obscuring my view:

The little typey cursor thing just keeps sitting there flashing, and sometimes it changes color (I've seen it go from gray to white to blue).

I have tried every single setting under the output option, with the same result of a black screen with typing cursor being put "over" the actual game screen.

EDIT: Okay, disregard. I had the genius idea of setting the machine emulated to "vesa_oldvbe" (in the course of trying all of those options just for kicks) and it seems to have fixed it.
