i have an audio problem with BLOOD.
BLOOD is one of the games based on the "Build" engine. It is one of the more difficult games to run on NT/2000/XP with sound.
Make sure you have all three parts of VDMSound.
VDMSound v2.04 at http://www.ece.mcgill.ca/~vromas/vd...load/index.html
After you have installed that, then copy the files from the 2.04 Update zipfile at
http://vdmsound.sourceforge.net/files/
on top of the original files (wherever you installed them).
Then download and install the GUI Launcher VDMSLaunchPad.v1.0.0.7, also at :
http://vdmsound.sourceforge.net/files/
Log off, Log on and you should be ready to go.
I have setting the sk audio SoundBlaster. The sound was good.. but the game go slow...
Set your resolution to 320x200 and your audio quality to a low-level to help maximize your speed.
Be sure to make your game's IRQ setting to 7 (this is what VDMSound uses). If it is set to 5, then it will use XP's (inferior) built-in emulation.
You're not going to get the higher-resolution levels without VESA emulation and trying to use "Build" audio at high-quality will grind gameplay to a halt.
BUILD games simply do not perform well under NT, 2000, or XP.
