i tried depends too. my problem seems to be a missing apphelp.dll.
i'm using windows 2000.

and this problem occurred only when updating to the 2.1.0. before everything was perfect, now even the 2.0.4 won't install.

edit: why the hell is there a new-thread-button next to the reply-button 😀

apphelp.dll is a Windows file. Run System File Checker. "sfc /scannow"

didn't help. and there is no apphelp.dll in windows 2000. had to
copy it from a friends xp.
