I'm new in this forum, although i'm lurking now for a couple of weeks.
But instead of doing this, i'd like to introduce one of my estimated 15 - 20 Retro Rigs. The first here is now a really classic system, which i mostly like. Hope, you like it, too.

Nice system you got there. I've always had a soft spot for Terratec soundcards. I quite like the look of your case, nice and clean.
15-20 retro rigs you say? Wow, I'm envious 😁

WinXP : PIII 1.4GHz, 512MB RAM, 73GB SCSI HDD, Matrox Parhelia, SB Audigy 2.
Win98se : K6-3+ 500MHz, 256MB RAM, 80GB HDD, Matrox Millennium G400 MAX, Voodoo 2, SW1000XG.
DOS6.22 : Intel DX4, 64MB RAM, 1.6GB HDD, Diamond Stealth64 DRAM, GUS 1MB, SB16.

I have a similar k6-3+ 400 running at 500. I really like your case. Terratec sound card? How goes the support for that?

=My Cyrix 5x86 systems : 120MHz vs 133MHz=. =My 486DX2-66MHz=

Yes, a clean and smart system. And has enough power to play Unreal in XGA with full settings.
All parts, software and hardware, comply with the things build in 1999.
This K6-III is not an embedded, but an 2,4V cpu. It's the first one, that i saw, that runs stable with real 500 MHz.
The case contained a 486 system, but nothing special.
For the Terratec i searched a driver for only Win98SE. And found it. Win2k? WinMe? WinXP? Probably build in.

Always wanted a K6-3 years back for my JetWay 542C! Could never ever find one. Had to settle for a K6-2 500.

That is a nice case, but is that the floppy drive (where it says peacock)? I always used to try and avoid cases with a custom floppy drive bezel.

Wish I could find a nice looking and clean AT case though!!

CURRENT BUILD
Still using my 'retro'
AMD 64 X2 4200
3GB DDR400 RAM
400GB HARD DRIVE
WINDOWS 7
PNY GEFORCE 8800GT
ASUS A8N-SLI-DELUXE

Is there a big difference in performance between the Via mvp3 and the Ali Alladin 5? I remeber that the Mvp3 was considered the faster chipset, while de Alladin 5 was more stable.
I,m thinking of replacing my Jetway 542C mb,which has Ali chipset, with 1 with Via.

As far as i know from my own personal experience, the Ali is faster than the MVP, RAM throughput is some 30 - 40 % higher.
I think, the MVP is also a stable chipset, but is could be tricky to install the right (4in1) drivers in the right way.
