I'm trying to understand the effects of the DOSBox's Turbo setting (ALT-F12 (or ALT-F11 in yhkwong builds)). It seems to unlock some regulator that keeps DOSBox in line with time passing on the base machine (i.e. music, timers, etc speed up). Not clear if it uses the frame-skip settings. I mainly want to use it to speed up framerates in a few DOS eyecandy programs, and want to understand how it'd different than using cycles=max.

Searches were a bit tough here, since anything relevant was drowned out by "Turbo Pascal" and "DOSBox Turbo" results.
