Hi everybody,

To make it short I need some advice on connecting things. I'd like to connect - with whatever neccessary - the following hardwares (am using Windows 8 64bit):

  • - Roland MT-32
    - Roland CM-500
    - M-Audio Midisport 2x2 (for USB-MIDI interface)
    - ASUS Xonar Essence One (basically for headphone amplifying)
    - Videologic Sirocco Crossfire (4.1 system)
    - a mobo with 7.1 outputs (ASUS P8Z77-V Premium)
    - 2 headphones

Now, my first goal is to have as little wiring clutter as possible.

My second goal is to use as much hardware i/o switches as possible, e.g. the input (source) switch on the of Crossfire amplifier or on the Xonar. In other words, I'd rather not use the software selector of Windows ('default playback devices'), only if it is unavoidable.

I'd use the rig for retro gaming and listening to music (so not composing), in that order. Should I buy e.g. audio input switcher then please suggest me one in particular! Thank you very much! 😀

So please advise on connecting up all these devices! It's really appreciated!

Cheers,
Engivuk
