I'm trying to run Privateer through Virtual PC . I got the game running but it's trying to get me calibrate a joystick I don't have. I need to either figure how to make it think the joystick isn't there(it's not) OR I am wondering whether VPC and DOS 6.22 will recognize a newer joystick if I went and picked one up.

Dunno, All I know is that the upcoming version of dosbox can run privateer probably.

Usually emulating a joystick can be hard as some games are real stupid when it comes to how to manipulate one. You might just play with the keyboard.
