Found an old madden 97 game earlier today and wanted to play it again. So, I tried it on VirtualPC and it installed, but crashed every time I tried to run it. Then I tried it on DOSBox and it went to the main menu of the game and I selected "exhibition Game" and it froze and after about 10 secs it crashed. Now every time I try to run it I get an error saying "Unable to Locate Madden 97 Disc 1 or 2" "Insert disc 1 or 2 and press any key" I took cd out and put it back in and I press a key then the screen goes black for a sec then returns with same error. I'm pretty sure the D: drive is mounted correctly. If anyone could help me out with this it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you're MOUNTing a physical disc, make sure you specify the "-t cdrom" switch at the end of the MOUNT command.

Note that Madden '96 needs XCOPY in the path when installing, and the install process will silently (no error messages appear) mess up the installation if XCOPY is not in the path. I'm not certain that Madden '97 also needs XCOPY, but it's quite possible given that the earlier one does.
