I'm with a problem with my SoundBlaster AWE32 when emulates MT32 on Monkey Island 1 (MSDOS).
In specific places of the music begins a continuous and strange midi sound as if I had use a no compatible soundfont...

Anyone ever experienced something similar?

MI1 doesn't use any custom instruments so it should sound about as good as any game using the AWE's MT-32 emulation does.

I would try disabling your L1 & L2 cache as this game has some speed issues.

Oh cache of course 😀

Go into your BIOS. You do this by pressing DEL after turning the machine on. Press it several time. Then find an option for L1 cache and disable it.

The PC will now be as fast as a 486 😀

it works! Just with the disabling of CPU internal cache...
Thanks 😀
