The Canyon3D was used on the Terratec Soundsystem DMX as well which is a bit more common than the MX400 (at least here in europe...).
I have used the Philips Seismic Edge. I wish I still had it. Those use QSound. There is a catch though with these. Philips built an initial lineup with the original Thunderbird 128 but later switched to a revised version of that chip called Thunderbird PCI. The original cards never received full-featured NT5 drivers. I am also not sure if VXD drivers were developed for the newer chip and that could mean audio issues for 98SE. Philips quickly gave up on sound cards.
