I'm trying to play Star Trek: Final Unity on my laptop (Toshiba Satellite Pro M10), but the installer fails, saying that the CD-ROM drive isn't fast enough (the CD-ROM speed is shown as "Error"), which it is.
Is there any way to make the "CD-ROM drive" appear faster in DOSBox, or to force Final Unity to install anyway?
I'm using DOSBox 0.60

I think there is a patch for the game that allows you to install and run it even if it doesn't meet the requirements. Search for it in the net. I was made for Cyrix processors owner's (i guess), that had their processor identified as not good enough. Hope this helps.

It seems to work if I mount the CD-ROM drive with
mount e e:\ -t cdrom
but it says I have 0 free hard disk space, so if I mount a folder on my Hard Drive with
mount c c:\
it then fails
