OS: DOS 6.22
CPU: Pentium Equivalent
HDD: Used both a 5GB HDD partioned into 500MB / CompactFlash 256MB

I follow my usual routine of Mau1's. The Partion is formatted. I create 4 folders on the HDD: CTCM, CDROM, MOUSE, and SBBASIC. I then copy the files from a CD. Reboot and everything works. But then I try to access the CDROM folder on the HDD and it says invalid directory. I type dir to see and a folder called cdrom is there. And I cannot access the CDROM folder on the CD either. Says invalid directory. Never came across this problem before. You guys?

I'm surprised no one has ever had this issue before. I certainly never have.

I wasn't able to resolve this but I think I have narrowed it down. It seems when the CDROM driver is loaded in config.sys, it makes all folders named CDROM unreadable. Very weird.

is the driver-name/driver-signature (not to be confused with filename) assignment in config.sys is CDROM, as you will specify following parameter with mscdex?
/d:CDROM
