I Just want to know if the comms port work with dos box. I'm trying to get a software package working which using the comm port to get to a remote device... Is the possible? does DOSBox run comm ports? do I have to set it up?

No, they don't work and AFAIK there are no plans to implement it.

They are emulated, not virtualized. If you want to use your serial ports in DOSBox you'll need to write that passthru functionality yourself.
