There is a problem that I have been having in games like Falcon 3.0, F-14 Fleet Defender and ACES over Europe that use an analog throttle. I am able to get the throttle working(using a Thrustmaster Cougar, Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X, or a CH Fighterstick with throttle slider), but it does not work the way I need it to. When I move the throttle forward just a little bit I am at full power long before I hit the forward throttle stop and when I move the throttle back just a little I am at idle power long before I reach the throttle stop. There should be a much longer spread between full and idle power so that you can make an accurate throttle setting between full and idle power. The games are not really playable with the throttle being so over-sensitive to any throttle movement. Is there some joystick setting in the DOSBOX config that I need to change or is there an in game setting I need to change. I have tried different combinations of in-game settings selecting Thrustmaster joysticks or just regular joystick settings and I have used the FCS, CH and 4 axis config settings in Dosbox but I have not found a combination that solves this problem. I have done a search through the forums and I have noticed that people are using a full HOTAS setup, but no one seems to have this problem. I am using DOSBOX V0.74 and I have tried playing these games with the above joystick, HOTAS setups. Is anybody familiar with this problem and if you are, were you able to solve it? Thanks.
